Copper Country Masons donate to Houghton County TRIAD
April 17, 2001
The Copper Country Lodge of Masons held a pancake breakfast on April 7, 2001 to benefit the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office in support of their community outreach programs. The program highlighted for support was the Houghton Co. TRIAD project – a senior citizen crime prevention program.

TRIAD is a cooperative volunteer group that consists of senior citizens, law enforcement and service providers who all work towards prevention and education against the victimization of senior citizens. The program is run by the seniors, who identify what their concerns are regarding crime, scams, swindles, safety concerns and general quality of life.

Shown here is Lodge Master Mason James Baker presenting Houghton County Sheriff Brian McLean a check for $100.00 from the proceeds of the benefit pancake breakfast. The Lodge is also applying for matching funds from Mason Headquarters that would also be donated.

The Copper Country Masonic Lodge regularly hosts pancake breakfast benefits on the first Saturday of each month and donates the proceeds to some worthy cause within our community.
