PAHCOM Donates $500.00 to Sheriff’s Office for AED
June 21, 2001
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office has received a $500.00 grant from the Superior Chapter of PAHCOM (Professional Association of Health Care Office Management) to be used for the purchase of another Automatic External Defibrillator.

PAHCOM is a communications network and support system dedicated to enhancing productivity and efficiency through increased knowledge of health care management for thousands of health care office managers across the country.

Shown in the photo at left is Ken Pepin, a local member of the Superior Chapter of PAHCOM, who works at Houghton Medical Arts presenting the check to Houghton County Sheriff Brian McLean.

“We are delighted that Ken has lobbied to provide this grant for our department and our local area”, states Sheriff McLean. “We appreciate the support of his organization in helping us to make a difference in rural emergency health care for all of our citizens. All of our field service officers and most of our staff have already been trained in the use of AED’s, and we want to take advantage of all the tools we can that help us to serve our community.”
