The Houghton County 911 Coordinator is responsible for the implementation, management, and operation of the Houghton County 911 Final Plan. The Coordinator is under the immediate direction of the Houghton County 911 District Board and the overall direction of the Board of Commissioners. This 911 Coordinator is also responsible for all administrative functions of the 911 program including budget and management of resources. The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office is also a backup Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) to Negaunee Regional Dispatch center.
