Full-Time Deputy Sheriff (Field Services)

 The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications to fill a full-time Deputy Sheriff (Field Services) position, and one temporary full time Deputy Sheriff position (Field Services). 

Qualifications (general but not limited to):

             -Candidate must be MCOLES certified or eligible for certification.

            -Must pass a drug screen, physical, and psychiatric exam upon request. 

            -Must pass a background investigation.

            -Be at least 21 years of age.

 Wages:

 Current rate of pay, starting at $20.53/hr with 3-year wage increase to $27.71/hr., healthcare, MERS retirement benefits and optional additional 457 Plan, overtime opportunities.
