Part Time Deputy (Corrections)

The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for part time employment as a corrections officer. 

Qualifications (general but not limited to):

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Candidates must pass a background check and a drug screen upon request.

Licenses and Certifications:

Must successfully complete a Michigan Sheriffs Coordinating Council approved academy and be certified under LCOTS (Local Corrections Officer Tracking System) within 12 months of date of hire.
